This autumn he will be speaking at literary festivals in Southampton, Folkestone, and Guadalajara. In November he will be awarded an honourary doctorate by Southampton Solent University. Next spring Philip will be touring with the Kings of the South Seas, presenting the story of British whales, and whaling. He is also working with film-maker Jessica Sarah Rinland and scholar Edward Sugden on a project for the Utopia season, Somerset House, London, 2016.
